Terms of Service

You may browse and buy from Hangerloom if you are able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. You agree not to misuse the site — including attempting to gain unauthorised access, disrupting the service, scraping it at scale, or using it for anything unlawful.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published here at the moment you place an order is the one that applies to that order.

Our sarees are embroidered by hand, so no two pieces are ever identical. Small variations in stitch, motif placement, and shade are part of the craft rather than defects.

We photograph every saree as faithfully as we can, but colour can render differently from screen to screen. Measurements and specifications on each product page are accurate to within normal handloom and hand-finishing tolerances.

All prices are listed in Indian Rupees and are inclusive of GST. Delivery charges are shown separately at checkout.

We may change prices at any time, but never after your order has been confirmed. Payment is taken through Shopify's secure hosted checkout; we do not see or store your card details.

Very occasionally a price or stock figure may be published in error. Where that happens we will contact you before dispatch and either honour the correct price with your agreement or cancel the order and refund you in full.

Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we confirm dispatch. We may decline or cancel an order — for example where a piece has sold out, where the address cannot be served, or where we suspect fraud — and will refund you in full if we do.

To cancel an order, message us on WhatsApp — +91 6282708501 — as quickly as possible. We can usually cancel while the order is still with us, but not once the courier has collected it. After that, our Returns & Exchanges terms apply.

Delivery charges, dispatch timelines, and the treatment of customs duties for international orders are set out on our Shipping & Delivery page, which forms part of these terms.

Delivery estimates are given in good faith by our courier partners and are not guaranteed dates. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

Our Returns & Exchanges page forms part of these terms and sets out the 7-day window, the condition a saree must be in, and what we cannot take back. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Indian consumer law.

When you buy a machine embroidery design you receive a licence to use the file, not ownership of the design. You may stitch it on items you make, including items you sell. You may not resell, share, or redistribute the file itself, and you may not claim the design as your own.

Because a digital file cannot be returned once downloaded, these sales are final. If a file will not open or does not stitch as shown, contact us and we will put it right.

The Hangerloom name, our logo, our photography, our written copy, and our original embroidery designs belong to us and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. You may not reproduce them commercially without our written permission.

We take care to keep this store accurate and available, but we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
